Laura Heimes and Jeffrey Thompson pay tribute to the careers of Charlotte Brent (1734-1802) and John Beard (1716-1791), two celebrated voices of the 18th-century English stage. Historian John Burkhalter brings the world of Brent and Beard and the London Theatre to life with his commentary. This program features selections originally performed by Brent and Beard from Solomon by William Boyce, Thomas & Sally and Judith by Thomas Arne and The Dragon of Wantley by John Frederick Lampe.
