The Guardian Out-witted runs approximately 2 and a half hours plus 2 intermissions

The Guardian Out-Witted, a chamber opera by Thomas Arne, was first performed at the Theatre Royal in Covent Garden in 1764. All the elements of 18th-century comic opera appear: mistaken identity, extravagant schemes and thwarted intentions.
