Thomas Gainsborough (1727-1788) is considered one of the most important British artists of the 18th Century. He entertained an illustrious group of musical friends including Johann Christian Bach, Thomas Linley the Elder and Younger, Thomas Chilcot and Carl Abel among others. Historian John Burkhalter joins Brandywine Baroque for a program charting the life and works of this great painter and his friends.
